‘the paradox around lobbying in Belgium’

Geplaatst door: krijvenaar in Lobby-praktijk

In view of the upcoming regional elections, Whyte Corporate Affairs organized a survey among 60 regional members of parliament.
The survey focused on various aspects of communication between businesses and regional members of parliament. The results provide a clearer understanding of the regional MP’s attitudes on business lobbying. The survey shows, amongst other remarkable findings, that 8 out of 10 members of parliament request more proactive communication by businesses.
The MP’s are open to lobbying based on a clear information exchange, because political decision making will benefit from it.
However, the members of parliament interviewed by Whyte think that businesses’ communication with regional members of parliament is often insufficient and too late.
